What did Jesus say about HELL?
Jesus Christ took hell very seriously. . .
Here's what Jesus said about hell in Mark 9:43-47,
"And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: and if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire"
Jesus Christ took hell very seriously -
Jesus said that if your hand, foot or eye caused you to sin and offend God, remove them, if that would keep you out of hell! NOTE: Jesus was making a point about the seriousness of sin and not suggesting that we actually do these things. One reason for this is that if we followed Jesus advice to the letter, we would have to remove our brains for all their evil thoughts. Jesus was not asking us to kill ourselves and therefore break the 6th commandment which says, "Thou shalt not kill". You see, Hell is such a place or torment that if you could avoid going there by your own human efforts, you should be willing to take such drastic actions as removing a hand or eye. In short, don't go there. Why? Read on and see...
